Muktinath is a sacred place for Hindus and Buddhist located in Muktinath valley. Within Hinduism, it is called Mukti Kshetra, which literally means the “place of liberation or moksha”.
The most suitable time to visit this place is from March to June. To reach Muktinath one can take flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara and the to Jomsom Airport. From there you can either trek all the way or take a jeep to Muktinath.
If you prefer to go by bus, you can visit other different places until you reach the destination place Muktinath. The place may include Mustang, Jomsom, Marpha village, Tatopani, etc.
Mustang is an ancient forbidden kingdom, sheltered by some of the world’s tallest peaks, including 8000-meter tall Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Mustang is one of the destination places for all the tourist who wants to visit entire Nepal. The place in itself is very beautiful all with the natural things. People come here to see the beauty of both upper Mustang and Lower Mustang. Due to unfavorable climatic condition, sometimes it is banned to go to upper Mustang.
Mustang is famous for two things, its beauty, and the apple. No one can get the apple as here in Mustang. People here make different varieties of apple.
On the way to Mustang, you can see the place Tatopani, this place has a pond where you can relax and mesmerize into the hot water of the cold season of Mustang.
A little way away from Mustang comes the village called Marpha Village, where you can find the apples and the product made by Apple. The main attraction here is the village itself, which is beautifully made and one definitely wants to stay in such village.
Jomsom also known as new Fort is a town located at an altitude of about 2700m in Mustang District, Nepal. On the journey to Muktinath, one definitely wants to stay here.
The place has different hotels here to stay in a beautiful marketplace and cafe. The place is also famous for the best Thakali food. Nearby is Jomsom Airport from where there are regular flights.
A Jomsom trek reveals Nepal's spectacular diversity at its finest. The deep valleys and high mountains encircling the giant Annapurna Himal. A little way away from Jomsom, on the way to Jomsom to Muktinath is Kaagbeni where one wants to visit at least for a shoot.
